Do you give value to my work?

Giving Value to Handmade Clothing is Giving Value to Whoever Makes It
We live in a world that goes a mile an hour, where everything "fast" seems to win. Fashion is no exception, and it is easy to fall into the temptation of filling your closet with cheap clothes that, in the long run, don't last at all. But I firmly believe that it is better to have a few clothes, of good quality, that will last for years, than to have to buy new clothes every so often because the old one is already ready to be thrown away.
For me, clothes made by hand, with love and dedication, have a special value. Not only because it lasts longer, but because behind each garment there is a story, an effort, and most importantly: a person. In my case, I make most of the clothes that my daughter and I wear, and that is priceless. Every time I see one of those pieces in our closet, I feel proud because I know the work behind it.
It is not easy to be an artisan today. We face a lot of taxes, procedures and unfair competition that make our work very hard, and the income is often not worth it. But still, I wouldn't change what I do for the world. I love my job and knowing that I am contributing to more conscious consumption, where each garment counts and has its value.
So, the next time you consider buying clothes, think about everything behind a handmade garment. You are not only acquiring quality, but also supporting those who, like me, put their heart into each stitch.
